VERKADA DIAMOND PARTNER · SINCE 2019 · VCE-CERTIFIED

Verkada cameras, access, and alarms — one cloud, one console, one bill.

HTS has been a Verkada Diamond partner since 2019, with Verkada Certified Engineer (VCE) certification across camera, access control, and alarms. We design the network, mount the cameras, configure the access, run the 24/7 NOC. Mobile Pass in 30 seconds. Same-week pilots.

CLOUD-FIRST, NOT CLOUD-ONLY

Four customer situations where Verkada is the right call.

HTS is a Verkada-first shop, but we won't recommend Verkada when the customer situation calls for on-prem. Here's the honest call.

1. Multi-site, no IT

You're 5–50 sites, each with a Verizon or Comcast business connection, no IT staff on-site, and you need a single pane of glass across all locations. Verkada is the only platform that delivers that out of the box.

2. Camera + access + alarm, one vendor

You want one vendor, one bill, one mobile app for all three. Verkada is the only platform where the camera, the access controller, and the alarm panel share a single org, a single user directory, and a single event timeline.

3. Sub-5 Mbps per camera bandwidth

Verkada's hybrid cloud architecture streams at 20–50 Kbps per camera at rest (steady state). This is the only cloud-native camera you can deploy at a school or clinic with constrained bandwidth without sacrificing live view. "Low Bandwidth Mode" reduces this further, by up to 75%.

4. Mobile-first operators

Your security team is on the road. Verkada's iOS / Android app is the best in the industry — push-to-talk, share live view, lock / unlock doors from anywhere, two-way audio on the door station.

WHEN VERKADA ISN'T THE ANSWER

Four situations where we still pick something else.

HTS is paid the same regardless of which vendor we recommend. The recommendation is the recommendation, not the upsell.

FEDERAL / NDAA

NDAA Section 889 with strict TAA

Some federal and state buyers have specific TAA country-of-origin requirements. Verkada designs in San Mateo, CA but manufactures in Taiwan via ODM partners. We can still ship Verkada for most NDAA-only buyers; for strict TAA we move to Axis or Avigilon.

ON-PREM VMS

Air-gapped or on-prem VMS

Some customers need a true on-prem VMS with no cloud dependency. That's Avigilon Unity or Axis Camera Station. We deploy and manage both — see HTS Managed Avigilon and HTS Managed Axis.

EXISTING INVESTMENT

You already own 500 Avigilon or Axis cameras

If you've already paid for the cameras and the VMS, we don't recommend a rip-and-replace. We take over the management of your existing estate and migrate one site at a time as cameras reach end-of-life.

BUDGET <$5K TOTAL

Small install, 1-2 cameras

For a 1-2 camera home-office or single-site small-business install, an Arlo or Ring setup is more cost-effective. We refer those out and stay focused on commercial / enterprise.

American, since 2016
Verkada is an American company headquartered in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2016 by three Stanford graduates (Filip Kaliszan, James Ren, Benjamin Bercovitz), joined by Hans Robertson (co-founder and former COO of Meraki, which Cisco acquired for $1.2B in 2012). Privately held.
17 offices, 10 countries
San Mateo HQ, plus offices in Philadelphia PA, New York NY, Austin TX, Tampa FL, Phoenix AZ, Salt Lake City UT, Chicago IL, Mexico City, London, Krakow, Dubai, Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, and Sydney.
Designed in California, manufactured in Taiwan
Verkada designs hardware and develops all firmware and software in San Mateo. Manufacturing is through ODM contract partners in Taiwan. This is the public record; it matters for TAA-sensitive buyers, and HTS is upfront about it.
VERKADA CLOUD STACK

One platform, three product families, one operator.

Verkada ships camera, access control, and alarm on the same cloud console. The same mobile app, the same user directory, the same event timeline across all three. This is the only vendor that does this in 2026.

HOW IT WORKS

From purchase order to a watched Verkada estate in 4 phases.

Standard deployment is 5 business days for a small pilot, 6–8 weeks for a multi-site rollout of 200+ cameras. The NOC is on the system from day 1 — we don't hand it off at the end of the install.

Phase 1 — Network assessment & design

Site survey. Switch and port audit. PoE budget calculation. SD-WAN / cellular evaluation for constrained sites. Verkada device list with quantity, model, and lens. BOM and quote by end of week 1.

Phase 2 — Mounting & cabling

Low-voltage cabling by HTS-licensed technicians. Patch panel dressing. Switch configuration. Camera mounting with sealed outdoor terminations. Single project manager, single change order, single point of contact.

Phase 3 — Verkada cloud onboarding

Org creation in your Verkada tenant. User directory sync. Role-based access configuration. Mobile Pass invitation flow. Alarm panel pairing. Verkada Command app deployment. Training session with your security lead.

Phase 4 — NOC handoff & 30-day review

HTS 24/7 NOC takes over detection. Sub-60s response on person / vehicle events. Weekly report delivered to your inbox. 30-day operational review with the deployment team. Quarterly business review with your HTS account team.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Five questions buyers ask before they sign.

Direct answers. The long answer is the conversation we have in the pilot review meeting.

What is HTS's Verkada partnership level?

HTS has been a Verkada Diamond partner since 2019, with Verkada Certified Engineer (VCE) certification across camera, access control, and alarms. Verkada's partner program has four tiers — Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver — plus a separate Premier Services designation for partners with design, installation, and services capability. Premier Services is a designation orthogonal to the four tiers; any tier partner can hold it.

How fast can HTS deploy a Verkada pilot?

A small Verkada pilot can be live in 5 business days from purchase order, using pre-staged Verkada inventory at our West Chester, PA warehouse. Multi-site rollouts of 200+ cameras typically take 6–8 weeks including network assessment, mounting, configuration, and NOC onboarding. Pilot fees are credited against the production engagement.

What does HTS charge to manage Verkada?

$495 per site per month HTS platform fee plus per-product meters (cameras, doors, alarm panels). Camera, door, and panel meter values match the HTS Managed product catalog at htsmanaged.com/store. No setup fee. 30-day notice to cancel any product or the platform fee.

Can HTS take over an existing Verkada deployment?

Yes. HTS takes over Verkada estates deployed by another integrator. Transition timeline and one-time transition fee are scoped per site based on estate size and current state. Includes admin credential rotation, NOC onboarding, firmware audit, and an operational review with the prior integrator if needed.

Is Verkada the right choice for federal buyers?

Verkada Command achieved FedRAMP Moderate Authorized status in May 2026 (U.S. Department of Energy as the sponsor), hosted in AWS GovCloud. For NDAA Section 889 buyers, Verkada cameras are compliant. For strict TAA country-of-origin requirements, Verkada's hardware is manufactured in Taiwan via ODM partners — we will move the recommendation to Axis or Avigilon for those buyers.

The HTS-Verkada pilot is the fastest way to evaluate cloud-native physical security without a 90-day procurement cycle. We mount the cameras, configure the cloud org, and have the NOC watching from day 1.
