What we walked into
There was no dedicated IT person. There was no helpdesk. The "IT" function was whoever was good with computers, plus a part-time consultant whose number was on a Post-it note by the printer.
The risk profile was real — 12 workstations handle member data, financial transactions, and event registrations. A ransomware event or a failed backup could shut the chamber down for weeks.
The chamber needed enterprise-grade IT, on a budget a small non-profit can actually afford.
What we did
HTS put every workstation on the managed RMM agent — patching, monitoring, automated remediation. A Meraki MX firewall at the network edge with advanced security enabled. Backup status reported weekly.
The chamber staff has a single phone number to call for the rare issue the RMM agent can't handle. Everything else is handled in the background.
