What we walked into
The Verkada install was finished and the network was ready. What the district didn't have was the operational muscle to monitor the camera fleet 24/7, respond to alerts, keep firmware current, and handle the access-control requests that come with running a school — new badges for staff, terminations for departing employees, parent volunteers during events.
The district's IT director was one person. Monitoring a fleet of cameras at 2 AM wasn't in the job description.
What we did
HTS stood up Sentinel — managed Verkada monitoring — across the full camera fleet. The Integrated Security Services board in ConnectWise routes every non-camera piece of work to the right team.
HTS administers the Verkada Command org: admin credential rotation, firmware updates, alert-policy tuning, all on a documented cadence. For access control, HTS AccessOps keeps badge holders synced with the district HRIS, so terminations flow through automatically.
The full ticket stream is visible to the district's IT director in Mission Control, with weekly health reports.
