Brivo and Eagle Eye Networks are now one company.

December 29, 2025: Brivo and Eagle Eye Networks announced a merger. The combined company operates under the Brivo name. Dean Drako (founder of Eagle Eye Networks, owner of Brivo since the 2015 acquisition) is CEO of the combined company. Steve Van Till (one of Brivo's four 1999 co-founders) is President. Eagle Eye Cloud VMS is retained as a sub-product line inside the Brivo Security Suite, which also includes Brivo Access, Brivo Visitor Management (powered by Envoy), Brivo Intrusion, and Brivo Identity Connector. HTS deploys and manages the full suite.

What is the Brivo Security Suite?

The Brivo Security Suite is the unified cloud-native physical security platform Brivo launched on March 12, 2025, and the platform was further expanded when Brivo merged with Eagle Eye Networks on December 29, 2025. The Suite combines Brivo Access (cloud-native access control), Eagle Eye Cloud VMS (cloud video surveillance, now part of Brivo), Brivo Visitor Management (powered by Envoy), Brivo Intrusion, and Brivo Identity Connector into a single dashboard.

Who owns Brivo now?

Brivo is majority-owned by Dean Drako, who also founded Eagle Eye Networks in 2012 and acquired Brivo in June 2015 for $50M from The Duchossois Group. Following the December 29, 2025 merger of Brivo and Eagle Eye Networks, Drako serves as CEO of the combined company. Steve Van Till, one of Brivo's four co-founders, serves as President.

How much does Brivo Access cost?

Brivo Access Standard edition published list price starts at approximately $13.50-$18.50 per door per month for the first 1-2 doors, stepping down to about $7.50/door at 3-10 doors and ~$3.50/door at 13+ doors (per acresecurity.com 2026 Brivo pricing breakdown). Enterprise edition runs ~$14-$16/door/month plus a ~$580 base platform fee (acresecurity.com cites $580 base, wcctechgroup.com cites $545 — range of $545-$580). Brivo Mobile Pass is sold separately as a credential block subscription (~$0.35-$0.75 per pass per month, per acresecurity.com; equivalent to ~$35-$75 per 100-pass block per month). HTS layers the $495 per site platform fee on top.

Is Brivo FedRAMP authorized?

No. Brivo is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, CSA STAR Level 1, and PCI DSS 4.0 compliant. Brivo is HIPAA-aligned (can support customer HIPAA programs and offers a BAA), NIST SP 800-53 aligned, and C-TPAT. Brivo is not on the FedRAMP Marketplace. Federal buyers with FedRAMP requirements should verify before any government-procurement-facing claim.

What reader hardware does Brivo use?

Brivo Smart Readers (B-series): B-BSM (Mullion mount), B-BSS (Single Gang), and a Keypad variant. All support Bluetooth (BLE) mobile credentials, 13.56 MHz encrypted smart cards, legacy 125 kHz proximity, and both Wiegand and OSDP wiring. Encrypted credentials are sold as B-SC50 / B-SCP50 cards.
