CISCO 360 PARTNER · CISCO MERAKI · HTS PARTNERSHIP TIER PENDING OPS REVIEW

Cisco Meraki, designed and managed by HTS. One cloud, every site.

HTS is a Cisco 360 partner for the Meraki product line. We design the topology, deploy the gear, configure the SD-WAN, and run the 24/7 NOC. The right call when you want one cloud console for network + security + cameras + access.

CLOUD-FIRST, NOT CLOUD-ONLY

Four customer situations where Meraki is the right call.

HTS is a Meraki-first shop, but we won't recommend Meraki when the customer situation calls for an on-prem stack. Here's the honest call.

1. Multi-site, no IT

You're 5-50 sites, each with a Verizon or Comcast business connection, no IT staff on-site. Meraki's cloud dashboard gives your 2-person IT team visibility and zero-touch deployment to every site. The cost of an in-house Fortinet or Palo Alto engineer is what kills multi-site.

2. SD-WAN replaces MPLS

You're paying enterprise MPLS pricing and want to cut to broadband + 4G/5G failover. The Meraki MX with SD-WAN gives you sub-second failover, application-aware routing, and a single VPN topology across all sites — typically at a meaningful discount to MPLS, depending on site count and bandwidth requirements.

3. Network + security + camera, one console

You want MX firewall, MS switch, MR wireless, AND MV camera on one dashboard, one vendor, one bill. Meraki is the only vendor that does all four. The HTS NOC watches all four from one pane of glass.

4. Under 1,000 users, no dedicated security ops

Meraki MX is a full next-gen firewall (IPS, anti-malware, content filtering, AMP, sandboxing) for the mid-market. If you're under 1,000 users and don't have a dedicated security operations team, Meraki MX replaces a SonicWall or FortiGate without losing capability — and the cloud management is the difference.

WHEN MERAKI ISN'T THE ANSWER

Four situations where we still pick something else.

HTS is paid the same regardless of which vendor we recommend. The recommendation is the recommendation, not the upsell.

1,000+ USERS

Enterprise with dedicated SecOps

For 1,000+ users with a dedicated security operations team, we recommend Fortinet or Palo Alto. Both are deployed and managed by HTS.

CMMC / NIST 800-171

Defense industrial base

Defense industrial base customers with CMMC Level 2+ requirements may need a fully on-prem firewall stack with FIPS 140-2 validated modules. Meraki MX is FIPS-validated but the cloud management is a compliance concern for some DIB buyers. We deploy Fortinet or Palo Alto for those.

BUDGET-FIRST

Under 50 users, single site

If you're a single site, under 50 users, and price is the primary driver, a UniFi or pfSense stack is 1/3 the cost of Meraki. We refer those out and stay focused on the multi-site mid-market and enterprise.

EXISTING INVESTMENT

You already own Cisco Firepower or ASA

If you already own Cisco Firepower or ASA hardware, we don't recommend a rip-and-replace. We take over the management of your existing stack and migrate to Meraki as end-of-life hits. The HTS recommendation is independent of partnership level.

THE MERAKI STACK

One vendor, four product families, one cloud console.

Cisco Meraki ships MX (security / SD-WAN), MS (switching), MR (wireless), and MV (smart cameras) on the same cloud dashboard. The same user directory, the same event timeline, the same NOC across all four.

MX — Security & SD-WAN

Next-gen firewall with IPS, anti-malware, content filtering, AMP, sandboxing. SD-WAN with application-aware routing. Site-to-site Auto VPN. Built-in 4G LTE failover. The only mid-market firewall with cloud management.

  • MX67 / MX68 / MX75 / MX85 / MX95 / MX105 / MX250 / MX450
  • Sub-second SD-WAN failover (auto VPN)
  • Built-in 4G LTE cellular failover
  • IPS + AMP + content filtering included

MS — Switching

Access + aggregation switches from 8 ports to 48 ports, Gigabit to mGig. Stacking, L3 routing, QoS, voice VLAN, and PoE+ on most models. Cloud-managed from the same dashboard as the MX and MR.

  • MS120 / MS125 / MS130 / MS150 / MS355 / MS390 / MS410 / MS425 / MS450
  • mGig (multi-gigabit) on MS130-X / MS355-X / MS390-UX / MS150
  • Up to 740W PoE+ on MS390-48UX2
  • L3 routing on MS390 / MS410 / MS425 / MS450
  • MS250 / MS350 are end-of-life (end-of-support Aug 8, 2030); MS210 EOS April 30, 2026

MR — Wireless

Indoor, outdoor, and industrial WiFi 6E + WiFi 7 access points. Cloud RF optimization. Automatic channel selection. Built-in Bluetooth and IoT radios. The best wireless roaming in the industry for voice + video over WiFi.

  • MR36 / MR46 / MR56 / MR76 / MR86 / MR57
  • WiFi 6E on MR57 (6 GHz band)
  • Outdoor IP67 on MR76 / MR86
  • Cloud RF — automatic channel + power tuning

MV — Smart Cameras

Cloud-managed cameras with on-camera AI for person / vehicle detection, license plate recognition (LPR), and crowd density. The HTS Verkada partnership handles the bulk of the camera fleet; Meraki MV is the right call when the customer is already on the Meraki stack for network.

  • 2nd-gen: MV12 (indoor) / MV22 (dome) / MV32 (fisheye) / MV52 (bullet)
  • 3rd-gen: MV13 / MV23 / MV33 / MV73 (M and X variants) — current recommended
  • On-camera AI — no cloud round-trip
  • Native MV Sense — person + vehicle analytics
  • Sub-30-day to multi-year retention

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Five questions buyers ask before they sign.

Direct answers. The long answer is the conversation we have in the pilot review meeting.

What is HTS's Cisco Meraki partner level?

HTS is a Cisco 360 partner for the Meraki product line. Cisco 360 (launched January 2026) replaced the legacy Select / Premier / Gold tiers (retired February 1, 2026) with two designations: Cisco Partner and Cisco Preferred Partner, measured by the Partner Value Index (PVI). HTS's specific PVI designation is pending HTS ops review.

When does HTS recommend Fortinet or Palo Alto over Meraki?

We recommend Fortinet or Palo Alto when the customer has 1,000+ users, a dedicated security operations team, and compliance requirements that demand next-gen firewall features Meraki lacks (deep SSL inspection at line rate, custom IPS signatures, advanced threat protection with sandboxing), or when they're in the defense industrial base with CMMC requirements.

What does HTS charge to manage Meraki?

$495 per site per month HTS platform fee plus per-device meters (MX, MS, MR, MV). Exact per-device meter values are in the HTS Managed product catalog at htsmanaged.com/store. No setup fee. 30-day notice to cancel any product or the platform fee.

Does Meraki replace our firewall?

The Meraki MX is a next-gen firewall with IPS, anti-malware, content filtering, AMP, and SD-WAN. For most mid-market customers (under 1,000 users) it replaces a SonicWall, FortiGate, or Palo Alto without losing capability — and the cloud management is the difference. For 1,000+ users with dedicated SecOps, we recommend Fortinet or Palo Alto (see HTS partners).

Can HTS take over an existing Meraki deployment?

Yes. HTS takes over Meraki estates deployed by another integrator or in-house IT. Transition timeline and one-time transition fee are scoped per site. Includes dashboard admin transfer, NOC onboarding, and an operational review.
