HTS Managed · BCDR

The backup that you can actually restore from.

HTS BCDR is the managed-service wrapper around the Acronis platform HTS already runs for ~59 internal endpoints and customer backups. Image-based and file-based backup, cloud + local targets with 3-2-1 default, automated test restores, ransomware protection. $8-25 per workload per month.

The Problem

Your backups run every night. You have never tested a restore. The audit is in three weeks.

The dirty secret of backups: nobody tests the restore. The backup job reports success. The restore takes 8x longer than expected. Half the data is corrupt. The auditor asks for a sample restore. The IT director picks the smallest VM, restores it on a Friday, and finds three problems. HTS BCDR is the system that tests the restore every week, automatically, and reports the result.

3-2-1 backup default

Every workload has at least 3 copies, on 2 different media, with 1 offsite. Acronis delivers this by default. The customer dashboard shows the backup topology per workload: source, local target, cloud target, last successful backup, last successful test restore.

  • Image-based and file-based
  • Cloud + local targets, 3-2-1 default
  • Per-workload topology view
  • Encryption at rest + in transit

Automated test restores

Every week, HTS BCDR picks a sample workload, restores it to an isolated sandbox, and verifies the restore. The result goes into the customer dashboard and the weekly report. Failed restores get a P1 alert. The IT director doesn't have to remember to test; the test runs itself.

  • Weekly automated test restores
  • P1 alert on restore failure
  • Isolated sandbox, no production impact
  • Sample-restore report weekly

Ransomware protection

Active defense watches the backup stream for anomalies. Anomalies trigger a P1 alert; the affected backups are quarantined; the customer dashboard shows the quarantine. If the worst happens, the restore is from the last clean backup, not the last encrypted one. The audit log shows the timeline.

  • Active defense, anomaly detection
  • Auto-quarantine affected backups
  • Restore from last clean backup

From a real customer.

"We backed up every night for six years and never tested a restore. HTS BCDR tested one in the first week and we discovered a third of our VMs were corrupt. The fix took a day. The audit is no longer a fire drill."
