HTS Managed · Sentinel

Verkada cameras that someone is actually watching.

HTS Sentinel wraps the Verkada cameras you already own in a managed-service shell. HTS's batman NOC detects offline, blocked, defocused, redirected, and tampered cameras in under 60 seconds, routes alerts to the channel your team lives in, and ships a weekly insurance-grade PDF report. One agreement. $8 per camera per month.

The Problem

Your insurance carrier wants proof the cameras work. Today you have a dashboard and a hunch.

Verkada Command tells you a camera is offline — eventually. The dashboard refreshes on a timer, the alert sits in a notification stream that nobody watches at 2 AM, and the next time someone checks is Monday morning. By then, two days of footage are gone. The CFO wants the camera for the slip-and-fall claim that hasn't been filed yet. The auditor wants the uptime report for the SOC 2 walk-through. Neither of them is going to accept "the dashboard said it was fine."

Sub-60-second detection

Offline, blocked, defocused, redirected, rebooted, firmware-stale — HTS's batman NOC detects all six and pushes an alert in under 60 seconds. The same events that took Verkada Command 5-15 minutes to surface and another 30 to escalate now hit your team's Slack channel before the camera finishes rebooting.

  • Detection < 60s (Verkada Helix webhook → batman correlation → customer alert)
  • 10-minute cooldown per (camera, kind) to prevent alert storms
  • Coverage 24/7/365, no business-hours gap

Alert routing that fits your team

The IT director lives in Slack. The facilities manager lives in email. The on-call rotation lives in PagerDuty. HTS Sentinel lets each person route alerts to the channel they actually watch, per site, per severity, per product class. No more missed emails at 2 AM. No more 8-person distribution lists for a single offline camera.

  • Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, PagerDuty, SMS
  • Per-site, per-severity, per-product-class rules
  • Self-service config in the customer portal

Per-camera uptime, on demand

30-day, 60-day, 90-day uptime per camera, per site, across the org. The number your insurance carrier asks for is one click away, not a Friday-morning spreadsheet exercise. Aggregate to a site, to a region, to a CFO-ready report. Export as CSV, JSON, or signed PDF.

  • 30/60/90-day windows
  • Per-camera, per-site, per-region roll-ups
  • CSV / JSON / signed PDF export

How it works

From a Verkada event to a customer-facing alert in three hops.

The plumbing is already in production at HTS. The same batman NOC that watches every HTS customer network, security device, and access controller today is the engine that runs HTS Sentinel. The productization is the customer dashboard, the alert routing UI, the weekly PDF, and the SLA-backed service contract.

1. Verkada Helix webhooks

Every Verkada event (camera offline, blocked, defocused, etc.) fires a Helix webhook. HTS already receives these for HTS-managed customers today.

2. batman NOC correlation

The batman engine deduplicates, applies cooldown rules, correlates related events (e.g., switch flap → camera offline), and routes by site + severity.

3. Customer alert routing

Per the customer's own routing rules, the alert goes to Slack, Teams, email, PagerDuty, or SMS — within 60 seconds of the source event.

4. Weekly report + dashboard

Every Monday, an insurance-grade PDF ships. Every day, the customer dashboard shows live status, uptime, and historical analytics.

Built for the buyer

The right product, whether you run 5 sites or 500.

HTS Sentinel fits the buyer at every stage. The Director of Security cares about uptime evidence. The IT Director cares about not getting paged at 2 AM. The CIO cares about a single agreement and a board-ready number.

Proof

From a real anchor customer.

"We were running 50 cameras and trusting the dashboard. Sentinel made us realize two of them had been offline for three days. HTS caught it before we did — before the insurance audit, before the next board meeting, before it became a problem we had to explain. That's the work."
